Betty Jean Rowles

Betty Jean Rowles, 76, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 16, 2018. She was born April 23, 1941 in Akron, Ohio to late parents James and Carrie Sabo. She was a graduate of Kenmore High School and worked at Noble Shoes. Betty Jean enjoyed going fishing with her husband Mike, watching the Cleveland Indians and spending time with her dogs Hans and Tippy.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 25+ years Mike; and siblings, Jackie (Paul) Doyle, Mary (John) Kariotis, Connie (Francis) Warner, Jo Anne (Leroy) McCurry, James (Jean) Sabo, Peter Sabo, Ted Sabo, John R. Sabo. She is survived by siblings, Frank (Pat) Sabo, Patricia (Steve) Flock; niece and caretaker, Shaunna (John) Fanady; and many other nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral service will take place at 11am on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Akron, to follow. Pastor Sam Martin officiating.
