Betty Ann Russell (McCarty)

Betty Ann Russell, 92, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents J.T. and Eula McCarty and her brothers Robert, Richard, and John McCarty.

She is survived by her loving husband of too many years to count, Warren “Russ” Russell; her children John (Chris), Danny (Laura), Rhonda, Nancy (Ty), and Warren (Robyn); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her brother Jerry (Betty) McCarty; and her special friend Dee Dean.

Betty was a proud and active life member of the Auxiliary of VFW Post #8487 and a dedicated 31-year member of the Mogadore Moose Lodge #1082. Over the years, Betty crocheted hundreds of lap robes and blankets, which she generously donated to local nursing homes, spreading warmth and kindness to those in need. 

A Memorial Service and Celebration of Betty’s life will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Mogadore VFW Post #8487, 383 Randolph Road, Mogadore, OH 44260. Private interment will take place at a later date.
