Betty G. Turner

Betty G. Turner, 65, of Akron, passed away on November 9, 2023. She was born on September 14, 1958 the daughter of the late Thomas and Clara Bunner. She was a woman of great faith and attended the Lord's House of Prayer. Betty devoted her life to being a special needs foster mother, providing love and care to many children. Her strong faith and musical talent especially with the guitar and piano she recorded on a CD, added a unique melody to the lives she touched. May her legacy of compassion and music continue to resonate in the hearts of those she cared for.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Thomas Bunner; husband Lyle Marcum; brother-in-law Harry Surgen; and Zachary King.
Betty is survived by her loving sister, Sue Surgen; sister-in-law Sherry Bunner; beloved nieces and nephews Tom (Cathy) Turner, Christina (Brad) Gray, Kimberly Sisson, Janet (Chris) Baker, Pastor Tom (Charlotte) Bunner, Connie Csaszar, Bill (Bambi) Bunner; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00pm, Saturday, November 18th at the Lord's House of Prayer (6105 Manchester Rd., New Franklin 44319).
