Beverly Jean Hice age 83, of Akron, passed away surrounded by her loving family on November 3, 2021.
Beverly was born in Wheeling, West Virginia on October 14, 1938 to Lester and Ruth (Ferner) Stevenson. She moved to Akron, Ohio at a young age, becoming a mother and building a family, of which she was the centerpiece. Her life and family grew with an abundance of love when she met her forever true-love, Brian Hice and married in 1966. She was an amazing homemaker, where her passions overflowed in gardening, antiquing, cooking, baking, entertaining, and decorating. She loved celebrating all holidays where her home was magical inside and out.
She was an amazing mom; the heart of the family. In her quiet and subtle ways, she taught her children and grandchildren life lessons that will carry on her legacy. She will be missed every moment of every day. Beverly was a member of Oak HIll Presbyterian of Akron.
In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Brian, and sister, Shirley Dague.
She is survived by her children, Lloyd (Pam) McVey, Deborah Cernava, Denise (David) Batten, Darlene (James) Siebert, and Darnelle (Joe) Colant, 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren.
A private inurnment will be held by the family at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
