Beverly Jean Sheets

Beverly Jean Sheets (nee Stutzman), 88, of Akron, went peacefully to be with the Lord on October 18, 2022. She was born on December 9, 1933 in Hartville, OH, to the late Menno and Florence Stutzman (nee Ebie). She attended Suffield Schools, and Manchester College, IN, where she met and married her husband, Donald Jay Sheets. Beverly worked in office support for the Akron Public Schools. Beverly was faithful in serving in the Springfield Church of the Brethren, Akron, OH, in many areas. She enjoyed baking, gardening, and many other crafts.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald. Beverly leaves three children; Michael (Lynda) Sheets, Joel Sheets, and Janice Myler; four grandchildren, Melanie Butman, Megan Niimi, Jenna Myler, and Jacob Myler; brother and sister in-law, Jerry (Kathy) Stutzman; brother in-law Sherwood (Dolly) Young and four nephews.

Family and friends may call on Sunday, October 30th, from 2-4 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Visitation will be held Monday, from 10-11 a.m. followed by an 11 a.m. funeral service with Pastors at the Springfield Church of the Brethren, 3500 Albrecht Ave., Akron, OH 44312.
