Bill Joe Johnson, Sr., 69, of Akron, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 5, 2008. Bill was born on August 12, 1939 in Louisa, KY to Adam and Sylvia Johnson and grew up in Fort Gay, W. Va. Bill was retired from Famous Supply Company. Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife of 11 years, Tammy Marie Johnson of Akron, Ohio; daughter Belinda Wilmoth of Akron, Ohio; son, Bill Johnson, Jr. of Columbus, Ohio; daughter Scarlet Foster of Akron, Ohio; three grandchildren, Carl Wilmoth, Hannah and Haylee Johnson; brothers, Clarence Johnson of Ft. Gay, W. Va. and Dewey Johnson; mother-in-law and father-in-law Iva and James Wottle of Centerville, PA; brother-in-law, Paul Shepherd, Jr. of Akron, Ohio; and Paul Shepherd, Sr. Funeral services will be held at the Newcomer Funeral Home in Akron, Ohio on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 from 5 to 8 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph, Ohio on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at 1 p.m. with a brief service with Rev. Fleary Spurlock officiating.
