The Lord called our beautiful Billie D. (nee Stevens) Cunningham-Russell home on January 14, 2021, just 39 days after the death of her mother.
Billie graced the lives of the late Bishop William and Edna (nee Smith) Stevens on May 12, 1956 in Bridgeport, CT, and was raised in Ravenna, OH. She graduated from Ravenna High School, class of 1974. Billie received her degree in Fashion from Kent State University and went on to briefly attend The Ohio State University Main Campus in Columbus.
Through work, Billie met and then married George Cunningham of West Virginia; to this union, a son, George Jr., was born. Billie returned to the Ravenna area briefly before settling down in Florida. Through life changes, Billie met Oscar Russell, and to this union another son, Josh Russell, was born.
The main focus of Billie's life became rearing her boys. In turn, she met and mentored many young persons, who were in the lives of her children. Billie was active in many political and personal organizations throughout Florida, always feeding positive energy into many causes. Later in life, Billie became the secretary for her brother's trucking business, Steven's Transportation.
