Billie K. (Watson) Mullins, 76, passed peacefully from this life on October 6, 2011 surrounded by her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude B. Sr. and Bessie M. Watson; and brothers, Odell Watson and Claude B. Watson Jr. Billie is survived by her husband of 49 years, Hampton Mullins; children, Bert Griggs, Mitchell (Paula) Griggs, Deborah (Mike) Combs, and Kenneth (Amanda) Mullins; step-children, Douglas (Jill) Mullins, Rick (Donna) Mullins, and Terri (James) Howell; brother, Jerry Wayne Watson; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Billie was a member of Tallmadge Church of Christ, where she had many friends. Anyone who has ever met Billie loved her. Billie loved the outdoors, especially hiking and camping. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be held Monday, October 10, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a service will be held Tuesday, October 11, at 11 am with Mr. Lewis Willis officiating. Billie's final resting place will be in Bremen, AL.
