Billy Delbert Hudnall, age 87 of Akron, Ohio, died on December 18, 2018 at his home.
He was born on July 7, 1931 in Pond Gap, West Virginia, the son of the late Hansford and Gladys (nee Beckett) Hudnall.
Billy was an honorably discharged US Army veteran during the Korean War.
He retried from Goodyear Aerospace after 44 years of service. He enjoyed gardening and working in the yard. Billy loved to vacation with his family. Mr. Hudnall was also a member of St. Matthew Parish in Akron.
Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Jean (nee Kirkbaumer) Hudnall, whom he married on September 26, 1953; his children, Terrance "Terry" (Sharon), Gerald "Jerry", Kenneth "Ken", Daniel "Dan" (Lori) Hudnall, and Karen (Eddie) Miner; his nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. His two sisters, Janet and Eileen Hudnall also survive.
Other than his parents, Billy was preceded in death by seven siblings.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, where Father Mike Williamson will celebrate Billy's life.
Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM.
Following services, Mr. Hudnall will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery, Akron.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew Parish in Billy's memory.
