Billy Joe Doane, 56, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away February 4, 2009. Billy was born in Akron on May 27, 1952 and graduated from Garfield High School in 1971. He was a member of the Teamsters for 23 years and retired from Preston Trucking after 21 years of service. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing softball and golf. He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor. Billy was preceded in death by his father, Billy Junior Doane. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 30 years, Donna Doane; mother, Patricia Doane; children, Kimberly (Troy) Robinson, Robert (Shawnna) Blaurock, and Kelly Doane (David Broadhurst); siblings, Jerry Doane, Debbie (John) Moore, Beatrice LeBarre, Patty Pry, and Allen (Marcia) Doane; grandchildren, Nicole Donaldson, Troy Robinson, and Ashley Blaurock; great granddaughter, Amiyah; best friend, John Gallo; close family friend, Stanley Garretson; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 6:30 followed by a 6:30 p.m. memorial service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Billy's family, c/o Newcomer Funeral Home.
