On Wednesday, December 19, 2012, Billy L. Ferrell was reunited with all his loved ones who have gone before him.
He was born in Akron on March 2, 1945, to Herman and Wanetah Ferrell. He graduated from Springfield High School in 1964 and served in the US Army in Vietnam. He was blessed with a great sense of humor. He spent his time fishing and with family.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Larraine "Rainy"; children, Billy Ferrell, Dianna Campbell, Joanne Phillips; grandchildren, Shawn Ferrell, Ashley Ferrell, Tiffany (Jacob) Mann, Kimi (Ben Starcher) Digman, Erin Ferrell, Cheyenne Phillips, Hannah Ferrell, Cassidy Phillips; great-granddaughters, Aliyah Gonzalez and Arahbella Mann.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, 5-8 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a funeral service will be held Thursday at 12 p.m. Interment to follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
