Billy L. Morris

Billy L. Morris, 77, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on January 19, 2019. A longtime Akron resident, he was born in Wyoming County, WV on November 23, 1941. Billy was a proud retired decorated veteran of the Marine Corps.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Morris, and brother, Gary "Goose" Morris. Billy is survived by his mother, Maxine "Virginia" Morris; children, Billy Morris, Carol Morris, Justin (Leslie) Morris, Walter Morris; grandchildren, Jacob, Carson, Cameron, Adalyn; siblings, Janet ("Rocky") Rauckhorst, Bonnie (John) Phifer, and Sandra Vasko.
Visitation will be from 9am-12pm on Monday, January 28 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral service at 12pm. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
