Blanche B. Pfeil, 82, passed away on December 25, 2009. Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend met her heavenly father and has been reunited with her husband, John, son, John, and daughter, Marcia. She was born in Somerset Co., PA, to James and Catherine Bence. She was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sister. Mom led a very full life, active in her church for 50 years. She belonged to several organizations, her favorite being Ellet Community Center, with her many dear friends. She retired from Allied Baltic Rubber in 1988. Blanche leaves daughter, Jacqueline Moon; grandchildren, Natalie (Rob) Lax, Joseph Goodman, Cathy Mitchen and husband Dan (mom's "second son"), Denise (Bill) Gerard, and Michele Beeman; and 9 great-grandchildren. Mom played Rummy with her competitive spirit with every family member. Many unforgettably fun times were had with this giving, loving, unselfish lady. She will live in our hearts forever. Calling hours will be Tuesday, 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
