Blondena Rose Smith
Blondena Rose Smith, 78, of Springfield Township, passed away December 2, 2010 at Essex Health Care of Tallmadge. She was born July 7, 1932 in Spencer, West Virginia to the late Clyde & Ada Bennett. Blondena graduated from Belpre High School and was a member of Millheim Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and an avid camper who loved the outdoors. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond and Clifton Bennett. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Glen E. Smith; daughters, Yvonne (Keith) Musgrave and Karen Nixon; sons, Clyde (Judy) and Ronald (Sandra) Smith; grandchildren, Ronald, Shane, Lesa, Tracy, Keri and Guy, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Cassie, Lauren, Ryan, Caleigh and Shelby. Calling hours will be Sunday from 5 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron where funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Kim Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
