Bobbie Maxine Jones, age 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 13, 2021. She was born in Butler, Tennessee, on January 10, 1936, to Cloe and Rita Campbell and had 5 siblings. Although she was born in Butler, she grew up in Elizabethton. When she was 21 years old, she married the love of her life, William Jones, on August 24, 1957. They moved to Akron, Ohio and later settled in Brimfield where they had 5 children. Maxine was a wonderful Christian woman who poured her life into those around her. She loved her church and was very active over the years as a Sunday School Teacher and Children's Director. She was also a very talented seamstress. Maxine worked outside the home for just a few years. Her first calling was to her children, her grandchildren and the many other children she cared for in her home. She was affectionately known as "Grammy" to not only her own grandchildren, but by just about everyone who knew her. Maxine lived her entire life for one day - the day she would meet her Savior - who undoubtedly has said "Well done, good and faithful servant." Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings and her infant son, Timothy. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years William Jones; her children who loved her, Steven Jones, Teresa Jones, Angela (Mark) Hardman, Melisa (Thomas) Parker; her grandchildren who adored her, Zachary Jones, Brady and Ashley Jones, Jesse and Laurin Jones, Casey Jones (and their mother Michelle Jones), Jessica and Joshua Cavileer, Lindsay Johnson, Chad Rowe, Alex Rowe, Mark Hardman, Jr., Calobe and Jillian Hardman, Madison and Jared Spangler, Grace Parker, Abby and Matt Anglum, Christopher and Abby Parker, Kyle Parker, Kevin Parker; and her great grandchildren Jameson (Kendra Jones - mother), Paisley, Everly, Lila, Lorelei, Lia, Caitlin, Hannah, Caroline, Samantha and Clara. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 20, at 10:30 a.m. at Southeast Church of the Nazarene in Tallmadge, Ohio. Calling hours will begin at 9:00 a.m. Face masks and social distancing will be required. Private interment at Northlawn Memorial Garden to follow.
