Bobbie Jean Powell, 67, of Akron, passed away on February 7, 2020. She was born in Akron on September 20, 1952 to the late Robert and Mable Heil. Bobbie loved playing bingo, trips to casinos, and online shopping. Some of her favorite memories were getaways to the family cabin in West Virginia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry; brother, Jerry Heil; and grandson, Andrew Powell. She will be dearly missed by her sons, Neal (Eva) Powell and Brad (Rachel) Powell; brother, Kenneth (Kathy) Heil; sister, Tamila Singleton (Chris Beiter); grandchildren, Shyann Powell, April (Tugg) Massa, Amy (Adam) Yeager, Sam Powell, and Zach Powell; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Riley, Kendra, and Jayden; special friends, Bernie and Bob Walker, Angie and Joe Key; many other relatives and friends. Bobbie will be privately laid to rest at Hillside Memorial Park. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Springfield Township Senior Community Center, 2491 Canfield Rd., Akron, OH 44312.
