Bobby Zion Barbuto, 79, passed away suddenly March 12, 2021 with her family by her side. Born in Jefferson, PA, she had resided in Akron most of her adult life. Bobby worked in several positions at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and Loral Defense Systems and retired as an executive assistant. She was a faithful member of New Horizons Christian Church. Bobby was an extraordinary mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was witty, fun, and creative who left her mark in everything she did. She was family centric and had a calling to help and fulfill the needs of others. Bobby had words of kindness and wisdom for everyone she met.
Preceded in death by her mother, Velma Harris (nee Mogle), father Bill Zion, brother Dennis Zion, sisters Shirley Joan Hillard, Betty Lou Washburn and her husband, David Barbuto in 2006, she will be sadly missed by her sister Cheryl (Ernie) Hathaway, children Robin Montgomery Foore, Lori (Richard) Buterbaugh, Robert (Lisa) Montgomery, Barbara (Scott) Laughlin, Bethany (Brian) Repasky, Tony (Julie) Barbuto, Michael Barbuto, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will take place Friday, March 19th at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery in Mogadore. Due to Covid-19 concerns, please expect to wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines.
