Bonneta Erma Adkins, age 86 of Tallmadge, Ohio, died on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Essex of Tallmadge.
She was born on July 7, 1931 in Portersville, WV, the daughter of the late Ira and Buna (nee Beam) Stratton.
Bonneta was a homemaker and loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother.
Survivors include her children, Michael (Sue) Grabel, Rebecca Spiga, Sue (Roger Justice) Gant, Ira "Rod" (Julie O'Neil) Adkins, Pauletta Goodpasture, and Loretta (Michael) Barna; 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Her special friends, Jim and Julia Frymer also survive.
Other than her parents, Bonneta was preceded in death by her husband, Leland Adkins; her grandchild, Kara Michelle Barna; her great-grandchild, Ariana Elizabeth Gant; and three siblings.
Funeral services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 8, 2017, where Minister Tracey L. Peek will celebrate Bonneta's life.
Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM.
Bonneta will be laid to rest next to her husband, Leland, in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Akron.
