Bonnie V. Hamilton

Bonnie (Baker) Hamilton, 91, of Tallmadge, went home to be with the Lord on October 27, 2017. Born in Wise, VA on September 24, 1926, she was the eldest of Oscar and Maude Baker's eight children. She married Lewis Hamilton on September 5, 1945, and selflessly cared for him until his death in 2004. Bonnie wintered in Florida and lived with her son Mike and daughter in-law Linda in the summers. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and friends. Bonnie loved Jesus and her family, and she was devoted to both. She will be greatly missed, but we're glad to know she's happy and healed in Heaven.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband, Lewis; infant daughter, Phyllis; her parents; and 6 siblings. She is survived by sons, Larry (Darlene) Hamilton and L. Michael (Linda) Hamilton; grandchildren, Laura (Trevor) Klein, David (Chris) Hamilton, Michelle (David) Neumeyer and Troy (Kristy) Hamilton; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, David "Max" Baker. Special thanks to nephew, Darrell Laney- Bonnie loved you like a son. Thanks also to Jack Simpson and Wilma Yoho.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday November 1, 2017 from 5-8 and the funeral service will be Thursday November 2, 2017 at 11:30am at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305. Pastor Sherman Bailey officiating. Interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
