Brenda J. Azar (nee Pruitt), 54, went to be with our Lord on Monday, March 9, 2009, surrounded by her loving family. She was born and raised in Akron. Preceded in death by her father and 2 brothers. She is survived by her sons Adam (Amanda)of NM, Stiofan and Teirnan, of Akron; daughters Elisia and Sharon Benz, of Akron; 7 grandchildren; her mother Irene Pruitt (Roth), of Cuyahoga Falls; sister Shirley Halliday (Gregg), of MA; brothers Eddie Fletcher (Shirley), of Canal Fulton, Jim Hess (Chris), of Shelbyville, TN, Larry Pruitt (Tammy), of Clearwater, FL, Barry Pruitt of Cuyahoga Falls; numerous nieces and nephews; and countless friends. Calling hours will be Friday, 4-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where a funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Richard Woodin officiating.
