Brent R. Martin, 50, a lifelong resident of Akron, passed away October 25, 2006 at his residence. He was born March 9, 1956 in Akron, Ohio. Brent was a loving father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and was a big sports fan. Brent always helped those in need and was a good friend. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dolores (Wellman) Martin. Brent is survived by his daughters, Jessica Blizzard (Bill), Rebecca Martin and Melissa Stepp (Corey); sons, Shawn (Christina), Jason and Patrick; father, Robert Martin; brother, Gregory Martin; sister, Shelley Lantz; and 6 grandchildren. Calling hours will be Sunday from 3 - 7 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. where funeral services will begin at 7:00 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to www.NewcomerFamily.com
