Brett Lee Schultz, 25, passed away October 19, 2009 at the Hospice Care Center in Copley. He was a 2003 graduate of Green High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving over in Iraq. Brett was currently active in the U.S. Army Reserves. Preceded in death by his mother, Christine Schultz. He is survived by his father, Randolph; brother, Randall; sister, Alicia Rodriguez; grandparents, Dennis and Caroline Nolan; uncles, Darwin Clapton and Michael Clappe; the extended family of Rory and Laurie Mayer; and many other friends. Calling hours will be Wednesday, October 21, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held Thursday, October 22, at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Fleary Spurlock officiating. Interment will follow at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
