Bryan Keith Betts, 53 suddenly went home to be with the Lord May 24, 2021. He was born on December 16, 1967 in Akron, Ohio.
He started working in the family business at the early age of 16 years old. After the passing of his late father David Betts, Sr. in November of 1999. Betts Trucking name changed to BIG MAN Trucking Company, to honor his father. Bryan followed in his footsteps until 2002.
Later, Bryan then decided to change his course and continued to work with other trucking companies in Summit County, Ohio. He worked for VITO Trucking Company, BOB Bennett., Karvo Paving Companies, ending with Kenmore Trucking Company.
He was a member of the Word Church in Akron, Ohio. He was a great service to the community, he donated his time and money to those in need.
Bryan is preceded in death by his father, David Betts, Sr. and sister Reverend Brenda D. Green.
He leaves to cherish his memory to his loving wife Cliffie Betts of 22 years; daughters Tiana Carmona, Jasmine May; Sons Kelvin Leatherwood, and Denetris May. His beautiful Mother, Johnnie Ruth Betts; two sisters, Minister Deborah Betts Moore-Roberson, Danella Gooden; and one brother David Betts, Jr. (Kimberly). All of whom are from Akron, Ohio.
He also leaves a host of family and friends, his cousins Shawn Johnson and Antwon Johnson, along with 12 grandchildren from Akron, Ohio.
Bryan's jokes would always make you smile. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A homegoing service will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Family and friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
