C. Douglas Cox

C. Douglas Cox, 67, passed away on July 2, 2005 after a courageous battle with renal failure. He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. after 38 years of service and was an avid sports fan. Preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his devoted wife of 25 years, Roberta; daughters Suzanne (Bob) Heil, Gretchen (Fred) Gilmore, Patricia (Joe) Fruhauf, Devin (John) Rogers, Sheila (Jason) Richardson; son Jeff Thomas; brothers David (Cheryl) and Gary (Marylou); grandchildren Megan (Kevin), Paige, Carol Ann, Mark, Sarah, Erin, Jeffrey, Jordin, Chase, Chloe, Cohen, Josh, Rachelle, Jamee, and Destin; great-grandchildren Hailey, Gavin, and Brooklyn; special aunt Annabelle Eblen and family in Tennessee; dear brother-in-law Barry Erdman; and many friends and family. Calling hours will be Tuesday, 5-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Funeral service Wednesday, 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
