Born in Akron Ohio on November 21,1947 took his final journey on July 30th, 2021.
Calvin was a 1967 graduate of South High School and upon graduation became a member of the United States Navy, where he proudly served for 7 years and was honorably discharged. He was an independent contractor with Yellow Cab from 1976 until the late 1990's when he decided to retire from driving. He was also a faithful member of the American Legion John Fulton Post 272, where he served on several committees, including serving as 2nd in Command. As well as serving at the American Legion, he also served on the 1967 South High class reunion committee. All of which he enjoyed doing until his health began to change. Calvin was a man of good integrity and character, a dedicated father and loyal friend. He enjoyed having cookouts at home and had a dry sense of humor, where you laughed just because he said it. He made sure to let you know you were appreciated even for the least little thing you may have done for him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Walter and Levon, sister in law, Hilda and granddaughter, Shirley Easter.
Left to forever cherish his memory are his son, Terry "T.K" (Tiffany) Corbin of Lancaster, KY, 4 daughters he raised as his own, Lisa Corbin, Everlee "Lee" Johnson, Everlyn "Lyn" Vinson, and Dawn "Renee" (Luther) Easter, all of Akron, Ohio. Special nephew and niece, Anthony Corbin of Akron, Ohio and Ericka Corbin of Mahwah NJ. He is also survived by his loving companion and life partner, Andrea Wigglesworth, who affectionately called him "Mr. C" and her children, Terry (Samantha), and Queen. He was grandfather to 18, and great grandfather to 13 plus. Special friend, Ron Myricks who came everyday to sit with him, "politic" with him, and just keep him company. Calvin had too many friends and other loved ones to name and they all had a special place in his heart.
Services and Interment will take place on August 17th at 1:15 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, Ohio 44273 with full Naval Honors. A celebration of life will take place at the American Legion John Fulton Post 272, at the convenience of the family.
