Calvin G. Hayhurst, Sr
Calvin G. Hayhurst, Sr., 72, of Painesville, passed away May 21, 2005. He was born September 30, 1932 in Smithfield, WV to the late Clarence & Goldie Hayhurst. Calvin was a WWII Army veteran. He was a member of the Ashtabula Church of God and had helped start two churches at his home. He had also remodeled numerous other churches. Calvin was one of the most giving men anyone would ever meet. He was a giving and loving father and grandfather who loved the outdoors and gardening. In addition to his parents, Calvin was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Ruth A. Hayhurst; daughter, Kathy A. Hayhurst; son, Toby G. Hayhurst; 3 grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Janet Hess (Al), Robin (John) Galloway, Judy (Shannon) Holmes, Tamara Hayhurst, Calvin (Vickie) Hayhurst, Jr., Thomas Hayhurst (Missy), Rachel Hayes (Danny); 5 sisters; 1 brother; 20 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren. Family and friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at WORD OF HIS GRACE FELLOWSHIP, 110 E. Steels Corners Rd., Stow, OH where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11a.m. Interment at Halcyon Hills Memorial Park in Wheeling, WV.
