Calvin Wayne Pierce Sr., age 68, of Akron, passed away on December 3, 2024 in the comfort of his home. He was born on September 3, 1956 in Akron, Ohio to the late Loye and Joann (Shanholtz) Pierce. Calvin worked as a body repair man for classic cars at Flash Back Unlimited. He was an auto mechanic and a jack-of-all-trades with an ability of fixing anything. He loved his old cars, playing music and family. He was like a father to most of the neighborhood kids.
Calvin is survived by his loving wife Evelyn Stevens; daughter Amber (John Baker) Stevens; sons Calvin (Jamie) Pierce and Nathan Rock; grandchildren Ariel and Cloe Sutton, Connor Pierce, James and Jayden; great-grandchildren Sophia and Alex; brother Tim Pierce; sisters Lorrie Pierce and Diane Pierce; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and good friends. A special thanks to Len Hanlon, Rick and Ronnie Oliver, Jerry Jones, Blair "Max" Maxwell, Kacey Rock, Kyle Blaurock, Andy Miller and many more. Preceded in death by a brother Michael Pierce.
Visitation will be held Saturday December 14, from 2-4 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home with services beginning promptly at 4pm with Pastor Dwayne Ray officiating.
