Cara J. Collins

October 26, 1954 — September 1, 2022

Cara J. Collins "Carrie" gained her heavenly wings on September 1, 2022.
Carrie was born in Akron, OH on October 26, 1954 to Eloise McDonald and the late Fred Robinson. She was a graduate of Akron Buchtel High School and attended the University of Akron for a short period of time. She always had a love for kids which lead her to her position working for Head Start until her illness kept her from being able to do so. With a spirit and voice of an angel, Carrie's relationship with God is what kept her holding on for so long. Carrie was known for her kindness and meek spirit, however she could be a spit fire if need be. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to whoever was in need. Family was important to her. She was the baby girl of the group that caused many of whoopings for her siblings due to her mischievous dealings without telling on herself.
She is preceded in death by her father Fred Robinson, brother Thaddeus Collins, and sister Sharon Edwards. She will be greatly missed by her daughter and amazing caretaker Naomi Collins, who saw fit to give the greatest care in the world until she took her last breath. The love of her life and bright shining star granddaughter Rebekah Collins. Mother Eloise McDonald. Brothers Coolidge, Jimmie(Vicky), and Chris Collins. Sisters Betty Waymon, and Sylvia Thomas. Uncle Bobby Hatcher, Special cousin Tonya Feaster. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. 2 My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going."5 Thomas said to him, "Lord, we don't know where you are going, so how can we know the way?"6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him."- John 14:1-7
