Carl J. McKeown
Carl J. McKeown, 80, of Ravenna, passed away December 16, 2007 at his residence. He was born May 30, 1927 in Akron, Ohio to the late Clyde & Margaret (Reining) McKeown. Carl served in the U.S. Army during WWII and later worked as a bus driver with Metro before retiring with 28 years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Dennis McKeown; granddaughter, Kasey Harrigal; and brothers, Edward and William McKeown. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Janice L. McKeown of Ravenna; daughter, Sandra Harrigal of Ravenna; son, Richard (Pam) McKeown of Iowa; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and brother, Clyde McKeown, Jr. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron where funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Scott Campbell officiating.
