Carmen (Pulaski) Cannon passed away in Akron, OH, on December 6th, 2022, after a long illness at the age of 72. Carmen was born February 22nd, 1950, in Akron, OH and was raised in Mogadore, OH where she graduated from Mogadore High School in 1969. Carmen would spend her entire life in the area, though never in one spot for long. She was truly the tumbleweed of Northeast Ohio! Moving almost yearly at times - sometimes within the same zipcode - Carmen never let her roots grow deep. Carmen was a free spirit with a mind like a sponge and a voracious love of reading - everything from Sci-fi to biographies. She was a "forever student" in multiple academic areas. Carmen also had a passion for horses and lived to trail ride with her horse Taipan as well as camping with friends. She also enjoyed Red Lobster dates with her sister Cora, anything purple, and rocking out to her all-time favorite musicians Queen, Meatloaf, and Janis Joplin. Carmen excelled at making homemade crafts and sewing and was an avid photographer. She is preceded in death by her parents Jacquie Sutter and Stanley Pulaski, sister Ruth Hagerman and brother Jay Sutter. She is survived by her sisters Toni Lutz and Cora (John) Samaco, her children Renee Vest and Chris Vest, grandchildren Jackie Lemmon and Britaney Vest, great-grandson Clayton Backer, and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place.
