Carol A. Bennett (Boyce), 80, of Akron, was called to Heaven peacefully surrounded by her family on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021. She was born to parents Clyde and Abagail Boyce on January 20, 1941 in Akron. She was a graduate of Manchester High School, class of 1959.
Carol retired from Summit Grinding and Machine in Mogadore, OH where she worked for over 30 years in accounting and management. She loved being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. For fun she would enjoy bowling, dancing, knitting, reading, traveling with her husband Larry on their Harley Davidson, and her many trips to Las Vegas. For several years, she fulfilled her lifelong dream of extensive travel with her sister to many worldwide destinations.
Preceding her in death are her husband Larry Bennett; daughter, Cheryl Elswick; and sister, Judy Zerbe.
Left to cherish her memory are her 5 children, Christine (Rex) Sourwine, Robyn (Bart Barry) Cottrell, Herbert (Barb Sears) Erickson, Helen (Tim) Dolan, and Verner Erickson; grandchildren, Joseph, Tiffany, Ryan, Kendal, Chryssa, and Caitlyn; great-grandchildren, Preston, McKenzie, Alayna, Brielle, Allyson, Evan, Cohen and Rylee; brother, Clyde Boyce; and many other family members and friends.
A private family service has been held.
