Carol Jean Bry

Carol Jean Bry, age 82 of Akron went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 5, 2021. A lifelong resident of Akron, Carol was born to the late Charles and Rusha {Boice} McDaniel.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband Donald Bry, Sr. and their daughter Tanya Oden; grandson Kyle Bry; brothers Paul and Kenny McDaniel; sister Pauline Johnson.

Carol will be dearly missed by her children Randy, Donnie (Jessica), Karen, Kevin (Dawn) and Jason (Jodi) Bry; grandchildren Anthony, Angela (Tim), Ashley (Brett), Aaron (Emily), Kylee, Devin, Nicholas, McKenna and Clinton; great-grandchildren Trevor, Talon, Blake, Brayden and Niko; sister Carolyn Frye; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Carol's faith extended to all parts of her life, and she loved teaching Sunday School and volunteering at Fairhaven Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Carol loved her family most of all, and being a Grandma and Great-Grandma were her two favorite roles.

Carol's family extends their gratitude to the staff at Green Village Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation for their compassionate care and support.

All are welcome to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, 44305 on Friday, December 10 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Following services, a graveside committal will be held at Hillside Memorial Park, where Carol will be laid to rest next to Donald, Sr. To leave a message for Carol's family, please scroll below.
