Carol Lee Collins

Carol Lee Collins, 74, of Akron, passed away on December 4, 2023. She was born in Uniontown, PA. on January 25, 1949, to the late Benjamin and Luevern (Fowler) Campbell. Carol was a loving homemaker her entire life. She was the most gentle soul and had the face of an angel. Carol was a member of United Freewill Baptist Church of Cleveland. She enjoyed attending church with her friends, and listening to Elvis. Family meant the world to Carol, cherishing time with her parents and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Collins Sr.; siblings Robert Campbell, William Campbell, Sharon Blaker, and Jack Campbell.

She is survived by her sons James (Kim) Collins Jr., Jeff Collins, and Russell (Lisa) Collins; grandchildren William, Dennis, Desiree, Jeff Jr., Ella, and Brad; brothers Glen (Timma) Campbell, James "Jim" (Joyce) Campbell, and Doug Campbell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 11-1 on Friday, December 15, 2023, followed by a 1:00 p.m. funeral service at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N Canton Rd., Akron. Interment will be held at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park.
