Carol E. McClellan

Carol E. McClellan, 72, Mogadore, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2005, after a long illness. She was born Sept. 15, 1933, in Akron, Ohio, to Hollie and Helen White. She graduated from Akron East High School in 1951. On April 9, 1952, she married Richard E. McClellan, who survives. Mrs. McClellan, a Catholic, was a founding member of the Mogadore WATCH Committee and served as adviser for the Mogadore High School Drama Club in the early 1980s. She enjoyed collecting antiques and going to auctions, yard sales and flea markets. She not only loved to laugh, she was a champion giggler. More than anything, Carol McClellan loved her family. In addition to her husband of 53 years, Mrs. McClellan is survived by her children, Thomas McClellan, husband of Rae, Mogadore; Lee McClellan, husband of Robin, Uniontown; and Gere Goble, wife of Steve, Jeromesville; grandchildren, Justin, Nathan, Marissa, Brandon and Libby; and brothers, Bernard White and Gerald White, both of Akron. She was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Robert and Richard White. Calling hours will be 2 - 4 p.m. & 7 - 9 p.m. Wednesday at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Road, where the funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday. Interment will follow at Ellet Cemetery.
