Carol S. Finch, 78, of Akron, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at home. She was born to parents Theodore and Wilma Lewis on December 24, 1942 in Akron.
Preceding her in death are her husband, Ray Finch, Sr.; and granddaughter, Cindy Pitman.
She is survived by her children, Susan Finch (Gary) and Kenneth Pitman; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; special friends, Stephanie Cook and Tonya Bohon; step-daughter and friend, Cheryl Alderson (Charles); and a host of other relatives and friends.
Carol was employed for many years as a nurse's assistant at Little Forest Medical Center. She and her husband Ray enjoyed vacations in Las Vegas, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Carol will be deeply missed.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron from 1:00pm-3:00pm with family sharing at 3:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, stuffed animals would be appreciated in order to be donated to Akron Children's Hospital.
