Carol Ann Grosenbacher

Carol Ann Grosenbacher, age 87 of Stow, Ohio, died on September 7, 2023.
She was born June 23, 1936 in Akron, the daughter of the late Harold and Doris (nee Runyon) Howard.
Carol along with her husband, Clair, owned and operated the Convenient Food Mart on Massillon Road in Akron for 30 years. Throughout the years she met many people and always had a warm welcoming smile on her face.
Some of her hobbies included traveling to the Villages twice a year and was an avid golfer. She enjoyed gambling at the casinos and her long island ice teas. Other than her children and grandchildren, her pride and joy was her dog, Tootsie.
Survivors include her loving and faithful husband for 67 years, Clair Grosenbacher, whom she married on September 8, 1956; her sons, Mark (Kelly) Grosenbacher of Tallmadge and Scott (Loretta "Lori") Grosenbacher of Myrtle Beach, SC; her grandchildren, Nicholas "Nick" Grosenbacher and Taylor Grosenbacher.
Other than her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her brothers, David, Gary and John Howard.
A private celebration of life will be held and all arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron, Ohio.
