Carol Kathleen Ostrander, 67, of Mogadore, passed away on January 15, 2024. She was born on January 12, 1957 to the late Robert V. and Helen A. {Beney} Chudoba.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her uncle Raymond Chudoba, father- and mother-in-law Allan and Goldie Ostrander and sister-in-law Carol Rankin.
On August 11, 1979 she married her high school sweetheart Robert "Bob" Ostrander. He survives, along with their daughters Sarah Ostrander and Susan (Daniel) Alford; grandson Everett Alford; sister Karen (Basil) Ranier; sister-in-law Lynda (Terry) Arman; brothers-in-law Allan (JoAnn) Ostrander and Joe Rankin; several nieces, nephews and their families, as well as many dear friends.
Bob and Carol were longtime members of The Chapel in Akron and Green, and volunteered with the children's ministries for many years. Carol was an active prayer warrior for anyone she came into contact with. Their faith extended to their own family, and Carol became a Christ-like example of love and compassion for her husband, daughters, and grandson.
Carol worked as a teacher for over 25 years at The Chapel, Loyal Oak Preschool, and Eastgate Preschool. Her passion was teaching children and their families about the love of Christ, and His love for them.
After her diagnosis, Carol became an integral part of the PKD Foundation, helping others through their journey and making many friends along the way.
