Carol Irene Walchalk
Carol Irene Walchalk, 75, passed away on June 23, 2010. Carol was born in Akron on August 21, 1934 to the late Roy and Lilly Click. Her main focus in life was her family. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren as well as going to casinos, working crossword puzzles, playing cards with her friends, and tending to her flowers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; brothers, Harold Veney, Richard Click, and Larry Click; sister, Doris Smith. Survivors include her daughter, Stacey (Randy) Clevenger; sons, Richard (Kari), Brian, and Ronald (Marie); brother, Kenny (Terri) Click; grandchildren, Lisa, Brett, Michael, Ronnie, Madison, Carla, and Ana; great-grandchildren, Leah and Brayden; sisters-in-law, Betty Click and Helen Dishong; brother-in-law Edward (Loretta) Walchalk; her angel, Rita Bender; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Special thanks to Tom and Kim from Hospice of Summa for their care during Carol's illness. Calling hours will be Sunday, 2-5 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a funeral service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. Interment at Restland Cemetery in Brimfield. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Summa.
