Carola M. Carr "Rhodie"
Carola M. Carr "Rhodie", 81, of Akron, passed away July 22, 2010. She was born December 20, 1928 in Ohlman, Illinois to the late Roy and Katie Rogers. She devoted herself to raising her family and will always be remembered for her generous nature. She worked at Zayre's and Big Lots. In her free time, she enjoyed walking at Chapel Hill Mall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Cliff Rogers and sister, Hilda Rhodes. She is survived by her sons, Randy (Carrie), Gregg (Chris), Dennis (Cecilia), and Bradley (Irene) Carr; sisters, Dorothy Dixon and Maxine Durbin; brothers, Roy (Marie) and Hugh (Alberta) Rogers; grandchildren, Kelly, Brian, Levi, Leah, Faith, Grace, Hope, Adam, Nathan, Matthew, Joshua, Anthony, and Cassandra; and great-grandchildren, Jordan, Brandon, Rachel, Hunter, Isabella, and Paisley. Visitation will be Monday from 5-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
