Carolina Palma Frattaioli

Carolina Palma Frattaioli, "Lena", age 74 of Akron, Ohio, died on August 14, 2022.

She was born in Palermo, Sicilia, Italia on October 13, 1947, the daughter of the late Vito and Concetta (nee Virzi) Palma.

Lena loved life, she loved to dance, sing and make people happy. She loved to cook and enjoy her family and friends. Lena had a passion for people in need and was a wonderful caregiver. Because of her passion, she ran her own business, Lena's Home Care, for many years.

Her loving nature is inherent in her children and grandchildren. She was always playing cards and bingo with her siblings. She was a member of the Le Radici Italian Club in Cuyahoga Falls and dedicated her time and efforts supporting the kitchen activities at the club.

Survivors include her loving children, Roberto (Kim) Frattaioli, Ignatius "Joe" Frattaioli, Sandra (Eric) White and Carolina (Matthew) Fela; her grandchildren, Breyanna, Sophia, Gianna, Joseph, Jackson and Madison; and her great-grandchildren, Grayson and Annison; and her long time companion, Jerry Steffek.

Her siblings also survive, Anna Maria (Michele) Mariola, Dora (Tom) Wallace, Antonetta (Giovanni) Catalano, Angela Bavis and Concetta (Mike) Towsley; and many nieces, nephews and their families.

Other than her parents, Carolina was preceded in death by her husband, Giuseppe "Pino" Frattaioli on June 6, 2016, they were united in marriage in March of 1967; and one brother, John Palma.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022 at Fallscreek Community Church, 149 Northmoreland Avenue, Munroe Falls, Ohio 44262 at 1:00 PM, where Pastor Michael Thomas will celebrate Lena's life.

Family and friends may visit at the church on Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
