Caroline Summers

Caroline Summers, 78, passed away on August 11, 2011. She was born on September 21, 1932 in Central Park, NY. She was one of eleven children. Preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Robert; and her parents. She is survived by her sons, Patrick and Jeff (Tricia) Summers; her loving grandchildren, Lindsey (Matt) Gutendorf, Jeff, and Maria Sciddurlo; great-grandson, Jordan Nanashe; sister, Elizabeth Swindell; and brother, Edward "Buddy" Kunchick. Caroline loved country music, bingo, the Cleveland Indians and her grandchildren. Special thanks to dear family friends, Cindy and Midge Back and "adopted" daughter, Terri Knotts. She was the neighborhood mom and loved having her "boys" over the house. She is now at peace and reunited with her loving husband, Robert. Rest in peace. A funeral service will be held Monday, 1 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Family and friends may call one hour prior to the service.
