Today, and always, we celebrate the life of Carolyn "Betty" Elizabeth Compton (Eisenhut nee Mollica) Our beloved Mother, Sister, Grandmother and Friend joined her family in Heaven on Wednesday February 21st, 2018.
The simple things in life were Carolyn's greatest pleasures. Hearing the birds sing, cuddling with her dog Lizzie, watching the seasons transform her favorite tree, and reading a good book were just a few of the things she treasured in the last few years of her life. However, her greatest joy was sharing her zest and appreciation for life with those that she loved. Her tenacity, infinitely positive outlook, and compassion gave us all something to admire. In much the same way that she could effortlessly hear and sing harmony, she knew when things were out of tune and had an uncanny ability to set things right with a gentle, loving gesture. Surely, as the eldest of 12, her list of talents was as large as her heart-if only we could imagine that.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband Clay Compton; son, Donald Eisenhut; her parents, Mary and Anthony Mollica; and brother, Tony Mollica. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Kay Slagle (Jerry) ; sons, Andy and Greg Eisenhut; daughter in-law, Melinda Eisenhut; grandchildren, Joseph Cambria Jr. (Dana), Mathew Dunkelberger, Christina and Hannah Eisenhut; great grandson Joseph Cambria III. ; her sisters, Loretta Carlisle (Robert), Patricia Drapcho (Robert), Kathleen Tyrrell (Edward), Theresa Holden (Ross), Mary Jo Loos (Robert), Dolores Olechnowicz (Thomas), Eileen Mollica (Jeff Schaefer), Anne Marie Carroll (Jeremiah), Gina Koncz (Jeffrey); brother, Michael Mollica; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
