Carolyn J. (nee Evans) DeAngelo, 78, of Tallmadge, (formerly Akron), peacefully went home to be with her Lord on August 11, 2021. Carolyn was born in Akron, on May 17, 1943 to the late Bernard L. and Emma M. (Johnson) Evans.
Carolyn was known by her family and friends as a loving Mother and Grandmother. Carolyn was a resident of the Colony Health Care Center in Tallmadge the past 10 years where she was loved by everyone. Carolyn was a member of the Ricky Nelson Fan Club for many decades. She was a very enthusiastic collector of his memorabilia.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph DeAngelo, and her daughter, Laurie Ann (nee Evans) Krausse.
Carolyn is survived by her grandsons, Paul (Debbie) Krausse of Akron; Andrew Krausse of Akron; and Benjamin Krausse of Buffalo, NY; a brother, James (Mary K.) Evans, PA; sisters, Phyllis Brillhart, MS ; Sharon Zimmerman, Orrville; Patricia Ferguson, Cuyahoga Falls; Barbara (Jeff) Young, Wadsworth; 14 nieces and nephews; 28 great-nieces and great-nephews.
Carolyn will be privately laid to rest at the St. Michael's Cemetery in Marshallville, Ohio at a later date of the family's discretion.
