Carolyn F. Lauro, age 83, of Akron, Ohio was born on September 8, 1940 and passed away peacefully on September 8, 2023, surrounded by family after a long battle with illness.
Carolyn was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Carolyn's greatest legacy, passion and true joy in life was her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband Patrick Lauro; first husband Tony Catalano; daughter Lisa Catalano; and mother Dorothy Rings.
Carolyn is survived by daughters Kimberly (Douglas) Markovich, Stephanie (James) Wilkerson, Nicole (Adam) Woods, and Toni (Christopher) McClung; grandchildren Krystle Compton, Samantha Clark, Zachary (Brittany) Woods, Julie Markovich, Dominic (Grace) McClung, Jeffrey Olson, Christina McClung, Andrew McClung, and Justin Wilkerson; great-grandchildren Sophia, Tristan, Zoey, Colton, Caleb, Adriana, Lucia and Lucas.
The family would like to thank the staff at Harmony Cares Hospice and Sand Run Pharmacy for the care and services provided to Carolyn.
Visitation will be held Monday (September 18th) from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd.) where services will be held at 1:00pm with Deacon Robin Adair officiating.
