Carolyn C. LeVan, 80, formerly of Beach City, Ohio, went home to be with her Lord on August 26, 2023. She was born on October 17, 1942 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late Charles and Rosa Pruitt.
As a child, Carolyn relocated to the Akron area with her family. She met her first husband, Kenneth Bulgrin, they married on March 28, 1960, and they raised their two daughters and son.
In 1977, she married her second husband, Kenneth LeVan and she joined him in working at the family business, LeVan's Distributing Company.
Carolyn followed Acts 2:38 by repenting, being water baptized in Jesus' name, and filled with the Holy Ghost. She was a longtime member of New Life Tabernacle in Massillon and First Apostolic Church of Tallmadge, where her son currently pastors.
Carolyn loved to cook and play shuffleboard. She especially enjoyed preparing biscuits and gravy and her world famous German chocolate cake for church functions. She was a wonderful homemaker and a terrific mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth LeVan; siblings, Carl Ford, Dorothy Leon Dawson, Lucille Childress, Betty Ferguson, Shirley Magrell, and Charles Pruitt Jr.
Carolyn will be dearly missed by her children, Kim Mayle, Tammy (Guy) Braun, and Kenneth (Kimberly) Bulgrin Jr.; stepson, Ben (Stephanie) LeVan; grandchildren, Jaime Butzer, Kristi (Erich) Jackson, Dustin Mayle, Dara Miller, Taylor Braun, Ashlyn (John) Miller, Christian (Kalyx) Bulgrin, Julia LeVan, and Dawson LeVan; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, church family, and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation for one hour prior at First Apostolic Church of Tallmadge, 199 South Ave, Tallmadge. Pastors Keith Blaylock and Kenneth Bulgrin officiating. Interment at Sunset Hills Burial Park.
Immediately following interment, there will be a dinner provided for the immediate family at New Life Tabernacle, 3542 12th St NW, Massillon.
