Carolyn "Lyn" Woodall Freeman, 81, passed away on July 30, 2011.
The daughter of Francis and Myra Ewing, Carolyn was born on October 18, 1929 in Plainfield, NJ. She lived in Akron for 30 years before moving to California; Carolyn then returned to Akron in 2004 to be nearer her family. She was a career educator for over 17 years, teaching English and reading at Erwine Junior High School and at Walsh Jesuit High School. She also taught English in Richmond, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Dewey; daughters, Martha (Gar Joseph) Woodall, Mary (Carl) Woodall-Jappe; son, Robert (Linda) Woodall; step-sons, Scott, Stephen (Kathy), Jeffrey Freeman; 6 grand-children; sister, Gladys Lax.
Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, Aug. 2, from 5-7:30PM at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where a memorial service will follow at 7:30 PM. Reverend Robert Linsz will be officiating.
