Carolyn M. Young, age 81, of Mogadore, Ohio, died on April 20, 2021 at the Hospice Care Center.
She was born on January 28, 1940 in Okeechobee, FL, the daughter of the late Kenneth O. and Estalee (nee Murdock) Gullett.
Carolyn retired in 1999 as a business education teacher, after 30 years of service, from Rootstown High School. She loved reading and traveling to Europe, especially to Venice, Italy, her favorite city.
Survivors include her only daughter and her husband, Linda and Michael Zaleski; and her grandson, Zachary Young.
Other than her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Jon R. Young on October 26, 2002 and her son, David C. Young on August 17, 2019.
There will be memorial calling hours held on Sunday, April 25, 2021 from 3:00 - 5:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, Ohio.
The family wishes to thank Mary Ellen at the Justin T. Rogers Hospice Center for her kind, compassionate and loving care she showed to Carolyn.
