Carolynn J. Romano

Carolynn J. Romano (nee Quinn) 71, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away on November 5, 2018 after a long illness. Carolynn was born on March 15, 1947 in Cleveland, Ohio. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Carolynn always had a smile on her face and a joke on her lips. To know her was to love her, and she was a friend to all. She worked at Giant Eagle on Graham Road as a cashier until she retired in 2006. She was an avid quilter, and she loved to sew and embroider.

Carolynn was preceded in death by her father, Robert J. Quinn; mother, Effie P. Quinn; mother-in-law, Theresa M. Romano; brother, Donald Quinn; nephews, Michael Chees and Patrick Chees; and many loving cousins.

Carolynn will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 52 years, John V. Romano Sr.; children, Dawn M. Romano, John V. Romano Jr., Lori A. (Cliff) Norton, and Jamie R. (Wiebke) Romano; 12 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; siblings, Robert (Sharon) Quinn, Kathy (Tom) Chees, and Patricia Schneider; beloved dog, Chelsea; and many friends.

Friends and family are welcome to Newcomer 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, to visit on Thursday November 8, 2018 from 4pm until 8pm. A funeral service will take place on Friday at 11am, with an hour of visitation prior.
