Cary R. Mangus, 76, of Ravenna, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 31, 2021. He was born to parents, Edson and Pearl Mangus in Logan, West Virginia on January 19, 1945.
Preceding him in death is his beloved wife, Judy; his parents; and sister, Vicky Lawrence.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Rebecca Mangus, Adrienne Mangus (Matt Sury), and Joshua Mangus; grandchildren, Brandon Hale, Emily Hale, Makenna Sury, Shane Sury, Abigail Sury, Isabelle Sury and Evelyn Mangus; and brothers, Edison Mangus (Karen), and Charles Mangus (Kay).
Cary was an amazing father and husband to Judy for 49 years. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran having served his country in Vietnam. He enjoyed playing the guitar and mandolin, and was an animal lover. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Calling hours for Cary will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, from 3:00pm-4:00pm with a service at 4:00pm.
He will be later laid to rest with his wife in Whitesburg, Kentucky.
