Casey Lee Metz, 28, a graduate of Springfield High School, passed away November 10, 2010. He was born July 23, 1982 in Akron, Ohio. Casey was employed at LandMark Plastics. He enjoyed various sports such as; football, golf, fishing and weight lifting. Casey with a heart of gold loved spending time with his nephews. He is survived by his parents, Dallas L. & Kathy R. (DeLong) Metz; sister, Dana Jarvis (Kevin); a very special friend, Crystal Kouns; aunts and uncles, Denise Verner, James & Melissa DeLong, Philip & Sherry DeLong, David Metz, Gardenia & Charles Wilcox, Delmus & Robbie Metz, Bill Metz, Joe & Norma Metz, George Metz, Henry & Lucy Metz and Virginia Kay Metz; nephews, Tyler, Thomas and Tanner; numerous cousins including Amis, Alex and Megan who Casey loved very much. Calling hours will be Friday from 6 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron where funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Dwayne Ray officiating.
